I first met Travis Sago in the Wealthy Affiliate forum where I was a member for several months. It was a great learning experience for me, I met some wonderful people, and a handful of them I remain in touch with, almost 2 years later.

I’ve watched in awe as Travis’ business has mushroomed into an online empire, and yet Travis remains as calm and laid back as he was in the WA forum. There are all sorts of debates over which keyword tool is the best or which html editor is the most user-friendly, but there can be no argument that without traffic you cannot succeed.

It doesn’t matter how magnificent your web design is or how engaging and informative your content is, if no one comes to see it, you can’t build a list, you can’t promote an affiliate product or sell one of your own. Without traffic, your site might as well not exist.

For a long time I made a habit of staying far away from anything to do with creating videos. Even though everywhere I turned, I’d hear or read someone talking about how powerful video is. It seemed beyond my capabilities. It was my final frontier.

Website traffic. Is there anything more important to an internet marketer? Traffic is the lifeblood of your success online and there’s not much you can do without it. It doesn’t matter how great your product is or how professional your site looks. If you don’t have traffic nothing else really matters.

So what’s the best way to generate traffic to your site? If you ask a dozen internet marketers, you’ll get more than a dozen different answers. There are so many ways to drive traffic to your site, most savvy marketers don’t limit themselves to just one, but instead rely on a combination of methods.

A few weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to join Alex Jeffreys’ coaching program. Now, if you don’t know who Alex Jeffreys is, this is a young man who truly found a way to crack the code to online success, soaring from $0 to over $100,000 in his first year of Internet marketing.

Anyway, we were on a coaching call tonight…me, Alex, and all his students. But here’s why I wonder about his sanity. That coaching call lasted over FIVE HOURS! The coaching part was about 2 hours or so…the rest of the time Alex stayed on the phone answering questions. He didn’t quit until he had answered every single question that anybody had.

I almost wish I could tell you some sad sob story about how I was unemployed and on the verge of losing my house when I stumbled across internet marketing and made $26,384.75 in my first month online.

That’s the sort of hype that seems to suck people in faster than a dust ball in a Hoover vacuum. And I’ve been one of those dust balls, on more than one occasion. But the truth is, I’m a registered nurse, and I was making pretty good money when I started poking around online.
