    Web Prosperity? Count Me OUT!

Okay, this post will undoubtedly ruffle some feathers, but I feel compelled to say it anyway. And thanks to the internet, I have this platform upon which I can state my opinion.

First of all, I generally don’t like things I feel are being shoved down my throat. And right now, I’m about to choke on Web Prosperity.

But, because I try to be fair, I don’t know much about this company or the man in all the videos. So maybe I’ve gotten the wrong impression. In fact, I’m almost HOPING I’ve gotten the wrong impression.

Because the impression I’ve gotten is that this is just the latest MLM offering, set in a 21st century environment. And just like most MLM programs, the only ones who truly benefit are those at the very top.

In one of the videos I watched, David D’arcangelo talks about the two pricing packages, one priced at $29.95 and the ‘elite’ version, at $59.95. That struck me as odd, since minutes earlier in that same video, he said, and I quote, “There’s no cost to join the business”.

He goes on to say there’s also no cost for the personalized website they’ll give you, and they’ll show you how to get your ’suite’ of tools at a “net zero cost”.

So to me, that begs the question, where does the “industry record-breaking payout of up to 67%” come from? If they’re gonna show everybody how to get in and get their tools at no cost, what exactly are they paying out on?

They’ve identified, according to Mr. D’arcangelo that “hungry entrepreneurs are your target market”. Big surprise. Now, what does that hungry entrepreneur get for his $29.95?

Web Prosperity contact - I’m guessing that’s what used to be called your ’sponsor’.
Web Prosperity marketing website - Again, I’m just surmising here, but I’d say that’s gonna be one of those cookie cutter websites that you get to put your name on so you feel like you’ve got a ‘real’ website. Never mind that they give that exact same site to tens of thousands of other ‘hungry entrepreneurs’.
Address Book - Are you kidding me?
Calendar - Again, really? A calendar? Are they serious?
Web Prosperity Finder - This one with its nondescript name I have no idea about, other than speculation that it’s perhaps a lead generator of some sort.

If you bite on the $59.95 package, you also get audio/web/video conferencing software. My question is, if you’re just starting out, how much actual use are you gonna have for a phone bridge line that accomodates 200 people? How many webinars will you be broadcasting to 2000 participants?

One of the selling points he mentioned is that you could save over $12,000 after just 5 years of business. Five years? And all you can save in that length of time is $12,000?

Here’s a breakdown for you: that works out to $6.45 a day. You could save that much by skipping your morning latte.

After sitting through 9 more minutes of mind numbing double talk about the compensation plan, I’d heard more than enough. I’ve learned if someone mentions the word ‘matrix’ in terms of a payout plan, I run in the opposite direction. When I hear that word, it brings to my mind the words ‘pyramid scheme’.

And after watching only two videos about this program, I’ve heard enough to know it’s definitely not for me. It seems to me they’re using the so-called ‘tools’ to get you to buy, but in order to make the kind of money they say you can make, you’ll be so busy getting other folks to buy that you won’t have time to build a real business. You’ll be too busy recruiting, because that’s how they pay you, based on the number of people you bring in at each level.

In my opinion, that’s the very definition of a pyramid plan. The products are incidental…what matters most is recruiting more people in.

Maybe I’m all wrong, and for the sake of the 30,000+ people who have already signed up, I’d like to be wrong about Web Prosperity. I just don’t think I am.

One Response to “Web Prosperity? Count Me OUT!”

  1. Hello Honey
I couldn’t agree with you more Honey. I had exactly the same feelings as you.

When I saw the ‘business tools’ they were giving I nearly spilled my coffee: they ALL appear to be geared towards recruiting more people to pay $29 or $59 so that they can recruit more people to pay $29 or $59.

I’ve actually been very surprised at the people who have promoted this. I thought they were good businessmen.Maybe they are(?) Maybe they know something I don’t! At least with something like SFI you also get to sell some real products. There doesn’t seem to be a product worth selling here.

But my oh my the hype that went with this - and how some people were sucked in by the thought of ‘being at the top’. Maybe they know that the only way to make money in MLM is if you’re at the top so they were just making a cold business decision.

It’s not for me though. I want to enjoy my Internet Marketing, not just cash -in on the money (although obviously I want to make a living online!)

Thanks for the post and the chance to air my views.
    Best Wishes
    Joe
